Austin Kim (Kim Jin Hyun), EntreHub Co-Founder
Austin has been engaged in business start-ups for more than 20 years and has an incredible depth of experience as a business strategy enabler particularly for those organisations involved in the IT & Telecommunications sectors. He has started up five of his own successful companies and been involved in supporting the development of dozens more – mostly in the telecommunications and technology area. Ensuring business and social enterprise start-ups are fully funded and understand the new world of operating online using technology and telecommunications to create awareness and also administer operations – Austin brings a unique perspective.
Austin’s time with SAMSUNG SDS, a Korean multinational IT company (between 1996 and 2002, Business Process Innovation Consultant and Regional Business Director for Asia) has given him a detailed view when it comes to researching the market & technology trends, fundraising decisions of business start-ups and embarking on sales and marketing strategies of IT solutions (ERP; Enterprise Resource Planning, KMS; Knowledge Management System, E-Portal; Enterprise Communication Platform) An example of Austin’s strength as a business entrepreneur can be seen in developing the business strategy, fundraising, successful business operations and exiting by trading off the Singapore based IT & telecommunication technology start-up, STANDFIRST MOBILE and TECHNOLOGY.
Between 2006 and 2010, Austin was head of global business in UANGEL Corp. a Korean innovative technology company which has been developing and deploying telecommunication service platforms and applications across 20 countries including the USA, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Russia, China, Malaysia and Korea. In recent years, Austin has been working with various governments and corporates in developing and implementing the InfoCom (Information & Communication) business strategy.
Austin Co-Founded the EntreHub with Matthew Tukaki after recognising that people with great ideas often needed support to get them off the ground! Austin is also currently Managing Director of ECONETWORKERS, a Sydney based facility management and investment firm.
