Execution Excellence is Essential - a lesson for entrepreneurs

Taking an entrepreneur’s high-level concept and overarching vision and translating these into meaningful strategy, planning and execution that’s aligned with their goals, is essential.
By nature, innovators and high achievers have formidably clear vision, dizzingly high standards and an impressive to-do list. Commonly, this is matched with by a sense that they’re racing against the clock, with few, if any individuals they can trust to share the adventure.
But in order to achieve their goals, it’s vital that leaders are able to surround themselves with people who understand how they think, interpret what they want and help deliver the desired outcomes.
In order to achieve results, the entrepreneur must move from a position of “Stagnation”, where inaction and paralysis prevails, to a position of “Orbit”, representing excellence and the desired destination. The model below depicts this high-level journey.
Momentum30-45%(Taking action but not getting where you want to)
Ignition15-30% (Decided to go ahead, ready to take action)
Depletion0-15%(Want to do it, but no capacity)
Stagnation0% (Inaction, paralysis)
The move from Stagnation to Acceleration is where the greatest challenges lie.
Turning challenges into opportunity is critical. Equally important is focused willingness to overcome inertia and move methodically through the deliverables that underpin the vision.
As Aristole put it, “Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort and intelligent execution”.
