EntreHub Fast Facts: What you need to know about the G-20
November 9, 2014

Â
Some argue that it’s just another talk fest but the reality is the G-20 is a pretty powerful forum accounting for 85% of Gross World Product and more than 75% of global trade. It’s not just a forum for developed countries under the assumption this is where all the action is, it’s also home to members from the developing set such as Mexico, Indonesia, Argentina, Brazil and South Africa. But what do you know about the G-20 and what might we expect out of this year’s little shindig?
Â
We put together a few infographics to help you out as well as some images from Wikipedia to give you an insight into who the member countries are. As for what are likely outcomes? Expect a big discussion on tackling ever increasing youth unemployment rates, more investment into infrastructure, further reductions in tariffs and the strengthening of financial regulatory instruments.
Â
What does the G-20 mean for entrepreneurs and start-ups? We’ll be honest and say not a lot other than these forums suggest developing the sorts of environments that support growth as opposed to more specific measures. But that’s ok, this coming week we’ll take a look at where there is some action that entrepreneurs and start-ups can look to take advantage of such as the APEC meeting happening in Beijing this week! In the meantime, take a look at all you need to know about the G-20:
