Crowd funding is fast becoming an alternative source of capital for both start-ups and social enterprises. But, did you know, that less than 5% actually meet the stated target? In this one day workshop serial entrepreneur and the author of “Six things you need to know about crowd funding success”, Matthew Tukaki, will take you through a comprehensive beginners guide to how you can harness the potential of crowd funding.
This one day workshop will take you through the development phase of a crowd funding strategy, how to build audience engagement long before the campaign is launched, being clear about what it is you need and how supporters will be incentivised, setting benchmark financial targets and how to harness the power of social and traditional media to pull everything together.
The workshop is split into two sessions (morning and afternoon).
In the morning session we will be covering the theoretical and structural aspects of crowd funding including case studies and practical examples of what worked and why and what failed and why. The afternoon session will be interactive with participants put into groups and provided with a case study product / service / offering. The groups will then bring together the structure of a campaign based on what they have learnt in the morning session.
The day will conclude with a “what next” series of outcomes for participants to take away, back to their respective organisations.
